A Memoir in Four Movements. The Complete Series — Dated and Linked

The Complete Series — Dated and Linked What began as a single reflection became, over the course of eleven months, a four-part memoir — each instalment written at a different distance from the story it was telling, each one believed, at the time, to be the last. This post exists to set the record straight: the correct order, the correct dates, and the correct links, in one place, for anyone following along across platforms. Part I From Rural Ghana to Global Recognition A Triennium of Grace, Growth, Grit, and God’s Guidance Published:September 30, 2025 The opening movement. It traces the geography of the becoming — the three-year arc (2022–2024) that carried the story from a rural Ghanaian beginning toward global recognition. 🔗 Read on Medium: https://medium.com/@mathiasedor/part-i-from-rural-ghana-to-global-recognition-a-triennium-2022-2024-of-grace-growth-grit-aff7673ed9ab Part II Boldly Becoming A Decade of Faith and Fire Published: October 31, 2025 The second movement widen...

The Third Attempt – A Postscript in His Hand Part IV – The Unplanned Closing of a Trilogy, and of a Decade A Theology of Delay and the Discipline of Becoming A Personal Reflection by Mathias Etsey Edor in August 2026 This reflection is the final, unplanned movement of a four-part autobiographical arc charting a Decade of Becoming (2015–2025). The first three parts named the fire. This one walks through the ash to see what it left standing. Prologue: The Season of Formation Torve mornings start before the heat does. The laterite is still cool then, red dust holding the last of the night, and a boy walks it toward a school that never once moved closer for his wanting it to. He does not count the miles. He has never seen a mile. He counts mornings; the only unit of distance a child without a bicycle has ever needed. I was that boy. Ten years later I would stand in a hospital corridor in Ho, Ghana, three letters behind my name and a decade of somebody else's patience running through...

But the dominant explanation; that age gaps alone are the mechanism, has never fully accounted for how that harm is actually produced. My doctoral research set out to close that gap. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐅 𝐝𝐨...

They were a coronation of becoming. In the stillness of winter, I returned inward. I stood again in the soil of a new foundation; humble, sacred, anc...

📖✨𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐈𝐅𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 As I approach another birthday in just two days, my heart is full, overflowing, in fact, with gratitude, awe, and quiet reflection. This year, 2025, has been one of the most defining seasons of my life: a year of answered prayers, stretching moments, some personal triumphs, and other divine alignments. A year that reminded me repeatedly that God is faithful in the deep valleys and even more faithful on the mountaintops. When I look back over the past decade, I see a story that only grace could have written. Breakthroughs that came after long nights. Lessons wrapped in unexpected places. Doors I didn’t knock on that opened. And above all, the steady hand of God guiding me through transitions, uncertainties, and major milestones. The last three years, especially, have been a whirlwind of becoming: completing advanced studies, stepping deeper into my life's assignments, advancing in research, crossing glob...
